I know what your thinking…..what does 1820 have to do with a Wednesday Night church service? The 1820 name comes from scripture in Matthew that says: 20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20 ESV This scripture really tells what our Wednesday night service is about; reconnect, recharge, and rediscover. Let us give you an idea of what our service includes on Wednesday nights. We offer several programs and ministries on Wednesday nights so you may come one week and do one thing, but don’t feel like that the next, NO PROBLEM!, just go to something different. The highlight of Wednesday nights are the small groups! This gives people the time during the week to reconnect with their church family and form those personal bonds with other people in the church and those that are not. There will be several small groups going on at once so don’t feel like you are forced into one particular group, there will be many options for what you can do on a Wednesday night.
Let us give you a run-down of the schedule for WN1820 Services. First we start off with food and fellowship at 6:00 p.m. which is designed to relieve some of the pressures on you and your family relating to preparing dinner and getting everything ready to come to WN1820. Not interested in the food? No problem, this is simply a program offered to help you. Please do not feel obligated in any way to attend the food portion of our service. Our awesome praise and worship service starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes contemporary praise music you might hear during our normal Sunday morning services or on mainstream Christian radio. After our praise and worship time, we will have some quick announcements, and break to our respective ministries or programs. Here is a short list of some of the ministries and programs that WN1820 may offer and this is in no way a comprehensive list:
– Small groups
– Books of the Bible
– When Relationships Collide
– Finding You in the Church
– Finding Joy in What You Do
– Honest to God Questions People Ask
To find out what small groups or programs are currently underway, please contact us using on of the many methods on our contact page. We would love to talk to you!
Our small groups are tailored to be just that….SMALL! You lose the personal touch and the “small group” when you have too many in one particular group. Therefore, we have several small groups going on at once. Expect groups ranging from 4-6 people. The small group studies usually start around 6:45 p.m. or so and end around 8:00-8:30 p.m. depending on the group, it’s all up to YOU!
Lastly, don’t forget the kids! We also have youth programs available for them as well that will teach important lessons while at the same time allowing the youth to build lasting Christian bonds with others that are good influences on their lives. We also have a nursery for the little ones so don’t bother with trying to find a babysitter.
Any of this not make sense? There is a good chance we left something out! Please do not hesitate to contact us using one of the many methods available shown on our contact us page. Expect a quick response! Please visit us and take advantage of the ministries and programs available on Wednesday Evenings at WN1820 at SUNNYBROOK!
