Is the first session really free?
Absolutley! There is no fee what so ever for your first session.
Is the free session a full hour?
Yes. You will get a full session at no cost.
Why is the first session free?
Consider the first session a tryout. This gives you an opportunity to see if you feel comfortable with us, and confident that we can help you. Additionally, it gives us the opportunity to evaluate your immediate concerns and determine if we are the best fit for your situation. If we feel that you could be helped better by someone else, then we simply refer you to someone more qualified. Sunnybrook does not feel you should have to pay for this time.
Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not.
Are you licensed by the state of Tennessee?
We are not licensed counselors. We work under the umbrella of pastoral care and a state license is not required.
I’ve got some serious problems, I am worried I will be judged.
No need to worry about that. We have heard it all, regardless of what issues you bring we are prepared and have an open heart to help. You will find no judgment or criticism here.
How long does a typical session last?
This will be determined during your free session. Some sessions last an hour some last longer. This really depends upon you and what works best for your schedule.
I would prefer/can’t meet in person, can I still receive care?
Sure. We have a variety of ways to communicate with you. Alternatives to meeting in person are Skype and Instant Messaging through Facebook or another provider. Although we recommend a face to face meeting at least occasionally.
Are sessions confidential?
Absolutely, everything said in a session is kept in the strictest of confidence. Any notes taken by the counselor or video tapings are kept secure. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us.
Videotaping? What’s that about?
We video tape every session, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. This is to keep counselors accountable and also gives them a resource to go back to and review their sessions so that they may better assist you.
Everything sounds great, how do I schedule my free session?
Simply give us a call or text at 423-383-5716 or call our office at 423-968-3502. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by the office during business hours.
I still have more questions, how can I get some answers?
